Trife City

Working on an interview with Brandon Bristol, and since he's newly unemployed we have a lot of tim to shoot. Good & bad at the same time.

Photobucket
Stuart Townsend came along. Lots of filmers in this session. not really a bad thing. A lot better than lots of photographers in a session.

Photobucket
I actually asked for this, to get my frame right.

Photobucket
Shot this to sell to one of the hipster Indie bands for an album cover but no one took the bait.

Photobucket
Buggica & John, talking about secret bonus features for the Trife Life video no doubt.

Photobucket
!!!

Photobucket
Right after this slip out, the final nail in the coffin of the Brandon Banks was hammered in by Bristol.

Photobucket
We got this unscathed while a lady cop and a security officer gave Stuart & the rest of the posse the 3rd degree.

"Turning a non-Kayo believer into a Kayo believer" with Jake Mednik.

Worked on a 48Blocks.com interview with The Kayo Corp's East Coast sales rep Jake Mednik, who's been getting a square amount of coverage on this blog lately, the other day. I'm slacking on the bloggery, which is no good, as my new years resolutions were no slacking and trying to cut down on talking shit (can't cut it out totally) so here you go.

Photobucket
I saw a photo of these paintings forever ago and thought "So what, just some weird Dunk paintings" but they're ridiculous in person. There's a crazy depth thing going on with them that you can't see unless you look right at it. I'm no sneaker nerd but I was almost converted.

Photobucket
Parlour style.

Photobucket
I had no idea DGK made a Dipset board. Are those guys still around?

Photobucket

Photobucket
Warm ups.

Photobucket
Too plain.

Tampa.

The Am was pretty standard fare.

Photobucket
Get ready to see some kids run through a germ infested swamp for some decks.

Photobucket
Stunning.

Photobucket
Montessi was around with his 3 kids, which was awesome. Last time I saw him he had 1 kid. I asked him "So you're getting the next group of shop employees going now huh?" in reference to his kids. So if you're trying to work at Westside you might want to wait 20 years to do it.

Photobucket
Scotty The Body got some TV time.

Photobucket
While Bristol assisted him in charming the headband off the artsy girls.

Photobucket
Someone managed to get stuck in the moat. How you manage such a feat is beyond me but whatever. He got pulled out.

Photobucket
Scenic, eh?

Photobucket
See you next time, bros.

Check 48Blocks.com for more in depth coverage. That should be up in a few days.

Tampa Time.

It felt like good, like going home.

Photobucket
Whoever gave Scotty a cordless mic, good job.

Photobucket
Apparently it's Cougar season in Tampa. Update: Also, check out how insufferably disgusted that girl to the right looks. Lady, it's not like I was making gross faces at you or anything. No one's looking at you, they're looking at the lady easliy 20 years older than you. Get over yourself.

Photobucket
A quick bite (of someone else's sandwich) in between heats.

This is where I tried some artsier endeavors. Get ready.

And this transfers us back into skate photos.

Photobucket
Westside skater. Didn't catch his name, but his fakie tre was serious.

Photobucket
PJ Castellano has been really sick for a really long time.

Photobucket
Good luck in the panhandle Kirks.

Photobucket
Xing Tea donated a pool table. Since I said Xing Tea (twice) I think I need some free tea. It's delicious.

Photobucket
Tommy, Jata and Pat were wrecking dudes on the table. It's like a Barber Shop back there. A bunch of dudes yelling, playing poker and carrying on.

Photobucket

I went out that night but I didn't want to be paparazzi at a table full of grown ups. But to all my friends, great seeing you and I'll be your neighbor soon.

Photobucket
I'll leave you with this. The point & shoot didn't really do the night sky justice but it was amazing.

A Return To Roots

Went back to my home turf of Lakeland, Florida to shoot some portraits for Pat Stiener so he can sit on them for various interviews and such. I don't think I can show them on here. The rules are funny like that. But since I got to Lakeland at 1:00PM and Pat was working until 4:00PM and not ready for photos until 6:00PM I skated with Lakeland OG and the guy that sold me my first skateboard, Adam Washell.

New Things...

Coming Soon. Really. Sorry it's been a desolate wasteland lately; I had to get my junk straight. So far so good. But, yeah, I'm doing awesome now so some awesome content is coming soon.

In the meantime, go get that current copy of Thrasher with David Reyes' Kickflip Wallride on the cover, and look for my sequence of Jamie Campbell Kickflip 50-50'ing the Daytona Beach City Hall double set ledge. Yeah Jamie!

Also, here's a few more throwbacks before the new stuff:
